Dr. Joseph Verdino (he/him/his) is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Kingsborough Community College, CUNY, and a licensed Psychologist in New York State. Having been the first in his entire family to attend college, he earned his B.A. at Queens College, and then graduated from Fordham University with his doctorate in Counseling Psychology, in 2009. Dr. Verdino has been a part of Kingsborough Community College for 20 years. His initial work was in student support services. He then moved to teach and has been a faculty member for the past 14 years. He has served on numerous committees within the college and department and has been active in scholarly efforts that focus on the intersection of equity and inclusion, and its impact on student success in the classroom. In addition to diversity, equity, and inclusion, Dr. Verdino also has strong scholarly interests in Health Psychology.
