Dr. Lissette Delgado-Cruzata, PhD, MPH is an associate professor in the department of Sciences at John Jay College. She earned her PhD at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University and conducts research on molecular epidemiology studying breast cancer in Latinas and women in Latin America. She is also engaged in research and develops programs to increase diversity, inclusion and equity in STEM disciplines and is co-director of Female Empowerment through Mentoring Minorities in Science (FEMMS). She is the recipient of a NSF HSI STEM pilot grant to explore the impact of pedagogical changes to basic science courses using an anti-racist approach.
