How Many Tickets Do I Get?
Each graduate who registers to attend the ceremony in person by the April 15 deadline will be allocated 5 guest tickets. Children do require tickets. Babies and toddlers who can't be seated on their own do not need a ticket, provided they are held on the lap of an adult with a ticket.
What about Additional Tickets?
You will have the opportunity to request additional tickets during registration. These requests will be evaluated based on ticket availability and are not guaranteed. Students will be notified of the status of their ticket requests via email in May. Please note: It is against CUNY policy to sell guest tickets. At this time, we kindly ask that you refrain from contacting the Commencement team about additional tickets. Requests submitted via email will not be reviewed or approved.
Where do the Graduates and Guests sit?
Guests will be seated in the lower bowl. All guest tickets are general admission, so your guests should feel welcome to be seated where they wish. We ask that all courtesies be extended to guests needing accommodations for mobility devices. Graduates will be seated on the court itself. Graduates and their guests can not sit together.
How are ticket distributed (digital, paper, or printable)?
Tickets will be distributed digitally only. If a guest is not comfortable with technology, please make sure they attend the ceremony with someone that will be able to access the ticket.
How do I access my tickets?
Tickets for the in-person ceremony are issued electronically ONLY, via TicketMaster. The tickets will be issued in early May and we will provide detailed instructions on how to access them. It is the responsibility of the graduate to make sure that their guests are provided with their tickets in advance of the ceremony.
