                                                    Shawn Grant is an Assistant Professor in the Business Management Department at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (“BMCC”) CUNY where she teaches business law.  Professor Grant serves on BMCC’s steering committees for Race, Equity, and Inclusion and the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Scholarship. She also co-leads BMCC’s Anti-racist Pedagogy Project supported by the President’s Fund for Excellence and Innovation.  Professor Grant’s scholarship focuses on administrative agencies and identifying and exploring the regulatory and legislative gaps that support the perpetuation of systemic and institutional inequities and disparate outcomes in the areas of disability, gender, and race. She has also written on the topics of student engagement and pedagogy.  Professor Grant graduated Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude from Brooklyn College where she earned a B.A. in Political Science and earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
