Leigh Garrison-Fletcher is a Professor in the Education and Language Acquisition Department at LaGuardia Community College, CUNY, where she teaches linguistics and ESL writing. Her research is focused on second language acquisition and the education of emergent bilingual students. In 2019 she published an article in the Community College Journal of Research and Practice on the need for faculty development on Language Across the Curriculum. She founded and has co-led the Language Across the Curriculum seminar for the LaGuardia Center for Teaching and Learning.
