Jieun Yang is an Assistant Professor at the New York City College of Technology, a fellow at the Urban Design Forum, and completed residencies at the Institute for Public Architecture and Art Omi: Architecture. She is an active collaborator with Design Advocates and has served on the publications committee at the Center for Architecture. As the Stewardson Keefe LeBrun Grant and SOM Prize recipient, her research explores comparative studies on urban infrastructure and housing models across continents. Professor Yang is the founding principal of Habitat Workshop, an award-winning architecture and urban design practice based in Brooklyn, NY, with projects promoting design as an accessible framework for positive changes. Recent awards and honors include AN Best of Design, NYCxDESIGN Awards, German Design Award, Forge Prize, Interior Design’s Best in Design, and Women in Design.
