Wendy M. Nicholson, MPA, received her BS in Psychology from Tufts University, her MPA from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and is currently a doctoral candidate in Public Administration at the Rutgers School of Public Affairs and Administration. As a scholar and researcher, her work focuses on Racial Battle Fatigue; Critical Race Theory; social equity; diversity and inclusion; and the role of race and racism at the nexus of educational, criminal justice, and governmental budgeting policies. Through her work over the past 30+ years, and now as the inaugural Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at LaGuardia Community College, Wendy seeks to improve the quality of life for underserved and marginalized communities. She is sought after as an author, speaker, and workshop facilitator on issues related to Racial Battle Fatigue, social equity, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
