Professor Lesley Rennis is a tenured full professor and chair of the Health Education Department at Borough of Manhattan Community College-CUNY. She holds a Master of Public Health degree from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and a doctoral degree in health education from Teachers College, Columbia University. In addition, she completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Columbia University New York State Psychiatric Institute and served as vice president of health and social services at Abyssinian Development Corporation, a non-profit community development corporation. She has also served as a Scientific Evaluator for the NYU NIEHS Center COEC. She has over eighteen years of experience in public health research and evaluation, focusing on health education, behavior change theory, program development, and evaluation. After working as a non-profit executive, she returned to teaching and currently conducts research and directs an undergraduate public health research academy.
