Dr. Tara Barca began teaching at CUNY SPS in 2010 and has served as an Assistant Academic Director, Consortial Faculty, Academic Community Leader, CUNY SPS Governing Council Member, Online Teaching Essentials Facilitator, and CUNY BA Mentor. Before arriving at SPS, she was an Adjunct at CUNY College of Staten Island. To complement her career in higher education, Dr. Barca possesses over 15 years of experience in the human resource management field. She is the Founder and President of a vocational and workforce development firm specializing in pre-employment assessments, human resource trainings, and career coaching. Dr. Barca holds a Ph.D. in Management with a specialization in Leadership and Organizational Change as well as an MPhil in Management from Walden University, an MBA in Human Resource Management from the University of Phoenix, and a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Law from SUNY Binghamton.
