Sinéad Sant-Barket, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor/Counselor in the Percy Ellis Sutton SEEK Program at the City College of New York. Her lived experiences as a multiracial, multiethnic, first-generation American significantly inform her work and her professional interests center on racial-cultural socialization, identity development, and the intersectionality of socio-demographic reference groups across the lifespan; the impact of systemic, institutional, social, and cultural forms of oppression and privilege on individual and collective well-being; and feminism, social justice, diversity, equity, inclusion, and advocacy in psychology and education. Dr. Sant-Barket completed her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University and she has worked for over 18 years as a clinician and educator in public and private hospitals and universities in the NYC areas. She also works with WorkHaven, an organizational consulting group.
