The CUNY SPS MA in Psychology Program’s Day in the Life series provides students with an opportunity to learn about and speak directly with those actively working in the fields of Industrial/Organizational (I/O) and Developmental Psychology, the two concentrations offered in the program. In line with the purpose of the series, Dr. Caroline Ebanks, is our featured Developmental speaker for the fall semester.

Dr. Caroline Ebanks is a research scientist at the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences. She is currently the Early Childhood Team Lead for the National Center for Education Research (NCER) and serves as the Program Officer for two current NCER research grant programs. Dr. Ebanks has managed multi-site evaluations of preschool curricula. She also works on several federal research and policy initiatives addressing the early learning and development of young children. Her prior research focused on social and academic predictors of children’s early school adjustment. Dr. Ebanks received her BA in Psychology from Wellesley College and her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Cornell University.

During this event, she will discuss her path to Developmental Psychology, her past and current positions, and how it all ties to the broader field of Developmental Psychology.

This talk will be 30-40 minutes, with a 20-30 minute Q & A to follow.

All CUNY SPS students are welcome to attend.
