Step 4: Update Your Graduate Slide
Updating Your Name Pronunciation and Your Slide
Graduates have the opportunity to customize your personal graduation slide with a recording of your name, a photo of yourself, and a personal message. This is a fun way to give a special shout out to those who have helped you along the way. The slides can even be downloaded and shared via social media.
NOTE: While the full graduate slides may not be used in the in-person ceremony, the name recording will be used, so please be sure that you record your name correctly.
Because of the time involved in creating slides for the 3,000+, we are working with a vendor called Marching Order. You should look for an email from Marching Order, granting you access to login, create a password, and personalize your slide.
Due to deadlines, graduates applying after April 23 will not have a slide. If you have not yet applied, please do so immediately.
Tips for Updating Your Slide
Photos should be of the graduate only and should be appropriate for public viewing. Graduation themed photos or professional headshots are perfectly fine. Vertical/portrait mode photos are preferred.
Personal messages must be 150 characters or less. This includes spaces and punctuation. To check your message for length, we encourage you to use WordCounter.net. Messages submitted with more than 150 characters will be truncated.
Your graduate slide will also include a recording of your name being read by a professional name reader. You may record your name for pronunciation within the Marching Order system.
