The CUNY SPS Writing Fellows host a live webinar/Q&A session covering how to find, use, and cite sources in your writing. The presentation will include information on how to use CUNY OneSearch, direct quoting, paraphrasing, and how to create in-text citations and a reference list in APA format.
The presenters will be Writing Fellows Kajal Patel and Alessa Natale.

Ibtisam Ammouri
Ibtisam Ammouri is a PhD student in Linguistics at the Graduate Center, CUNY. Her research interests split into three: the Syntax-Semantics interface (the connection between the structure of a sentence and its meaning), reading acquisition and literacy, and machine translation between dialects. She has taught Phonology, Pragmatics, and Internet Linguistics at Lehman College, as well as Introduction to Linguistics at LaGuardia Community College. In addition, Ibtisam has extensive experience in teaching Arabic as a Second Language. She established her own school for Spoken Arabic, and has recently taught Standard Arabic at the MESAAS department at Columbia University. Aside from English and Arabic, Ibtisam is also fluent in Hebrew.

Kiera Bono
Kiera Bono is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Theatre and Performance program at The Graduate Center, CUNY. They are most comfortable with the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) and MLA formatting, but they have some experience with APA formatting from their stint as a 2022-2023 CUNY SPS Writing Fellow.
Their dissertation engages with disability and relationality in performance. Kiera has taught at The City College of New York and is currently teaching at Wagner College.
