Carlos de Cuba has a Ph.D. in Linguistics and an M.A. in TESOL, both from Stony Brook University. He teaches Speech Communication and Linguistics in the Department of Communications & Performing Arts at Kingsborough Community College. His research interests lie in the areas of theoretical and applied linguistics, including a focus on promoting linguistic equity in the classroom.
