Daiane Antonio is an Assistant Professor of Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Massachusetts Bay Community College, where she developed Massachusetts’ first Early Childhood Education Certificate Program, taught entirely in Portuguese. She is a PhD student in Early Childhood Education and Care (Special Education) at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Her research focuses on language access, inclusive and special education practices, neurodiversity, and workforce equity in the preparation of educators serving children from birth to age five. Her scholarship is informed by neurodiversity lenses and inclusive frameworks that center belonging, access, and culturally sustaining educator preparation. She is a Fellow for Impact in Early Childhood Policy at the Rennie Center for Education Research & Policy and is completing the Certificate in Early Education Leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
