Aley O'Mara, PhD (they/them), is a neurodivergent educator whose work prioritizes disability justice. With CAARES, O’Mara supports the work of training institutions to better serve neurodivergent communities. They have been invited to speak on supporting neurodivergent students at SUNY University at Buffalo, SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse University, and BIMM University (UK), and they serve as the chair of the statewide Disability Rights and Concerns Committee for the United University Professions (UUP) public employee labor union. They hold a PhD from Syracuse University in English, and they are active in the disability community in Central New York. Their passions include public transportation and house rabbits.
