Madisen Cutler is a neurodivergent senior at the College of Staten Island (CUNY), pursuing two bachelor's degrees in music and psychology. She is a member of Dr. Kristen Gillespie-Lynch's psychology research lab, focusing on mentorship and group leadership in Project REACH, and focusing on research projects pertaining to Autism and ADHD. Her research interests include how music and the arts affect brain behavior, and how music instruction can become more inclusive for children with learning disabilities. Madisen has worked with neurodivergent individuals, primarily those with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD), for 13 years. Her most recent employment was teaching music lessons to neurodivergent and neurotypical children and adults. Madisen also plays several instruments, including Flute, Piano, and Guitar. After graduation, she hopes to research music cognition and neuropsychology in a graduate program.
