Description

Due to societal expectations, entrenched gender roles, and generational paterns of internalized gender discrimination, codependency is ingrained in many Asian cultures, disproportionately impacting Asian females. Sacrificing oneself in pursuit of psychological, emotional, and physical safety has detrimental effects, resulting in a disempowered existence on multiple levels. The healthcare industry often atracts individuals with innate caregiving tendencies. Consequently, Asian females working in healthcare face an elevated risk of becoming overly self-sacrificing, leading to burnout. This interactive workshop seeks to prompt self-awareness and ignite curiosity through fostering participant self-reflection on topics related to self-perception, personal boundaries, and self-advocacy.
