Jyoti Rai is the Managing Director, Global Human Resources for Moody’s Corporation. In this role she leads the human capital practice for all Moody’s businesses including Moody’s Investor Services, Moody’s Analytics and Moody’s Corporate Functions. She leads a global team of 80+ HR professionals.
Jyoti’s career is defined by exceptional leadership achievements made during her 20 years impacting the global culture and enterprise growth at American Express. Her consistent ability to drive success is grounded in her unique set of core assets, including developing business partnerships with deep knowledge of business model/strategic objectives; partnering with CEO, Executive Committee and board of directors to plan future leadership needs; measuring annual performance targets and designing CEO succession strategy; igniting a cultural change on leadership behaviors and the diversity & inclusion agenda; and forging a talent strategy across all developed and emerging global markets, including building businesses from scratch in India as the senior-most executive woman in the market.
In her most recent role as Chief Talent Officer she reported directly to the CHRO as a key member of the Global HR leadership team steering 130+ HR professionals and 350+ RPO partners. She drove the enterprise talent agenda by partnering with the CEO, Executive Committee and board of directors to implement robust succession planning aligned to the organization’s international growth strategy, helm a bold diversity & inclusion (D&I) strategic agenda focusing on executive pipelining, engagement and progression, and transform the recruitment delivery model through ROI-focused strategic investments of $15M+ in AI technology infrastructure, automation, CRM, branding and organization redesign.
She started her career at Deloitte India as a Consultant in their Human Capital Practice.
Jyoti received a Global Executive Master’s in HR Leadership from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey; a Master’s in Personnel Management from University of Pune, India; and a B.Sc Physics (Honors) from the University of Delhi, India.
