Speaker Bio
Faime Moussavi is an experienced educator and brings over 25 years of teaching and professional know-how. She was born in Iran, and has lived and studied in France and the United States. Her experience includes working the United Nations, as well as an International Financial Institution where she worked extensively with banks, private and public firms in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America for their economic development plans.
She has taught Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Economics; as well as Globalization and International Relations, both online and on campus since 2002 for NYIT, CCNY, and the City University of New York.
Professor Moussavi is an expert course developer, and in addition to developing courses, she has chaired the development of several accredited courses.
She is also interested in foreign languages and cultures, speaks French and Persian fluently, and reads Spanish. As a volunteer, she has translated economic and international relations articles for the French publications “Le Monde Diplomatique” including articles by Thomas Pickety.
She is passionate about helping her students succeed.
