Speaker Bio
I am a full-time senior information specialist at Baruch College, where I support faculty, staff, and administrative, technological needs. I have worked in the Baruch Computing and Technology Center (BCTC) for over 33 years, helping lead the technology's transition to its current state of the art infrastructure. Earning my MBA in Computer Systems from Baruch in 1994, I subsequently began teaching in their CIS department and adjunct in their undergraduate honors and master's executive programs. I also teach MIS courses for the School of Professional Studies in their online business program. Redesigning courses in both schools utilizing Open-End Resources (OER) positioned me as faculty lead for my Baruch course, developing and disseminating material for all sections. Having worked at Sooner Education, I created proprietary online video tutorials for their Microsoft courses. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for McGraw Hill and Wiley Publishing, I review and publish course content for all their MIS and IT business-related courses.

Some of my certifications include Microsoft Office Specialist, TopHat Scholar, and VoiceThread Certified Educator. I received the Presidential Excellence Award for Distinguished Teaching and Pedagogy in 2000 and 2013 at Baruch College. In 2014, I received the CUNY Productivity Award, and in 2018, the CUNY Excellence in Technology Service Award. I am passionate about bringing innovative pedagogy and technology into my courses.
