Speaker Bio
Shannon Gallo, Manager of Career Services, joined CUNY SPS in 2010, establishing and overseeing all career services functions. She began her higher education career by developing and leading a cooperative education/internship program at Monroe College, and then moved into the field of employer relations at Pace University, where she managed the co-op & career services campus recruiting program. Her corporate experience includes serving as regional manager of recruiting for Kelly Services, Inc., where she built and shaped the global staffing leader’s recruitment and retention strategy for eight full-service field branches in the New York City metropolitan area.
Shannon holds a BS in journalism/public relations and an MS in industrial relations/human resources from West Virginia University. She is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), the Metropolitan New York College Career Planning Officer's Association (MNYCCPOA), and the New Jersey Career Consortium (NJC3). Shannon participates actively with the University-wide Career Services Association (CSAC) and served as co-chair from 2014 – 2017.
