Diarmuid specializes in presenting and visualizing complex data in simple ways to allow people to find insight, and in building spreadsheets and applications with intuitive user interfaces. He is the founder of Early Days Consulting, a boutique consulting practice specialized in data analysis (including reporting and automation), financial modeling, and Excel training.
Before starting Early Days, he spent almost ten years at Deutsche Bank in New York and London, working in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking. Before joining DB, he worked as a strategy consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in London. He earned a degree in Math and Physics and a PhD in computer science from University College Cork, and a CFA charter from the CFA Institute. He is also a five-time finalist of ModelOff, the financial modeling world championship (placing 1st in 2014 and 2nd in 2016).
Diarmuid lives in New York City with his wife and two boys.
