Open Education Resources provide low to no cost course resources for students. Through a CUNY OER Initiative Grant, the Guttman OER Team created an OER Accessibility Coordinator position to provide Guttman faculty direct support in achieving accessibility best practices in delivering OER and all digital content in their courses. The position is a model in bringing together Library colleagues with the Office of Accessibility team to provide faculty a direct lift. The OER Accessibility Coordinator creates a copy of the course content, revises to best practice for accessibility, provides notes, how to's, and a brief consultation/training when passing it back to the faculty for incorporation or replacement.
