This webinar will provide a live demonstration of how to use Brightspace most effectively. Topics include how to submit various types of assignments, where to view your instructors’ feedback on your work, how to use the various tools, and some tricks you can use to help make Brightspace work best for you.

Dr. Angela Francis serves as the assistant dean of general education and first year experience at the CUNY School of Professional Studies. Reporting to the associate dean of academic affairs, Angela’s portfolio includes oversight of the school’s general education program; coordination of strategies and services that support the retention and academic success of new undergraduate students; and supervision of student readiness initiatives such as the Test Flight Online Learning Simulation, Online Learning Essentials, and New Student Orientation for undergraduate degree students.
Prior to her current role, Angela enjoyed teaching writing, literature, and general education courses at CUNY for over a decade. She joined the staff at CUNY SPS in 2012 and supported general education and student readiness programming, most recently as the associate director for academic affairs. Angela also experienced firsthand the value of a CUNY education: she earned her BA in English as a Macaulay Honors College student at the City College of New York and holds a PhD in English from the CUNY Graduate Center.
