Sue Carpenter PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences, Education Program, Kingsborough Community College (KCC) Brooklyn, City University of New York and is also the Lead Instructor at Westchester Community College for White Plains high school students with disabilities. She previously worked as an arts educator for 25 years in special education in Australia, London and in New York City. Dr. Carpenter is the author of a number of peer reviewed articles on inclusion. She also teaches community groups through the not-for-profit organization Reach Out Arts, and For the People and Kids. She is founder of the Inclusion in Higher Education UK Advocacy group, and co-facilitates the citywide CUNY Unlimited Faculty Engagement Group that supports faculty including students with intellectual disabilities in their courses. She is delighted to be presenting with Michael Lettman again, and with Dr. Ingrid Geier Fulbright scholar at KCC!
