Capacity building, conducting research and informing policy are among the objectives of the inclusive post-secondary education alliances established by Think College Inclusive Higher Education Network to improve access to college experiences for people with intellectual disabilities. The Northeast Post-Secondary Education Alliance (NEPSEA) will facilitate a roundtable discussion with attendees including stakeholders from downstate New York to explore these objectives and collectively move forward.
Starting with an overview of the regional alliances, NEPSEA and two member states - Massachusetts and New York, presenters will then provide accreditation and policy updates. After the overview, participants will collaboratively explore ways to formalize structures for existing models and opportunities to expand, as well as consider what is needed to develop models in underserved areas.
Join our discussion on next steps to strengthen this programming and increase access for more students with intellectual disabilities whose life goals include attending college. Please Note: This session takes place across two time blocks. If you chose part one (10:10am-11am), you must choose part two, (11am - 12pm).
