Speaker Bio
Ms. Taylor is a pioneer, grassroots leader, natural clinician, master facilitator and coach. She has decades of experience, and her work has centered around transforming the lives of young people who primarily come from low income single-parent families where (in many cases) there was a history of parental incarceration, child welfare involvement, mental health, substance abuse and/or homelessness. She has developed curricula and strategies using the Family Development framework embedded in a two generational approach to inspire, motivate, and empower individuals, families, and communities to strive for healthy self-reliance and interdependence.

Ms. Taylor is currently a Consultant/Facilitator for NYC Children Administration for Children Services (ACS) Workforce Institute, a Mayoral initiative to provide high quality and effective learning and professional development opportunities for NYC Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice professionals. She is an ambassador in the agency’s system change work, lead facilitator for Understanding and Undoing Implicit Bias, co-author of the Equity Checklist, and a member of the Racial Equity and Cultural Competency Committee (RECCC) and Training Sub-Committee, co-leading the development of ACS/NYC Children Lexicon: A Bridge to Courageous Conversations.

She is also a Consultant/Facilitator with the Village Enrichment Associates and works with various agencies and staff on all levels in system change. Her orientation to the Race, Diversity & Intersectionality (RDI)™ framework and Reflective Process has deepened her scope on how to understand and analyze the role of internalized racism and oppression.
