Hosted by the Online Business Programs at the CUNY School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS), the Entrepreneurial Thought & Engagement conference is designed to connect active entrepreneurs, educators, and CUNY SPS students in conversation about how the entrepreneurship process and mindset impacts society, as well as local and global economies.
The conference will feature Jonnel Doris, Former NYC Commissioner for Small Business Services, under the Mayor de Blasio administration. Mr. Doris will speak on the importance of small business and entrepreneurship in the economy.
Dr. SherRhonda Gibbs is the Dean of Monfort College of Business, University of Northern Colorado, and a United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneur (USASBE) Longnecker Fellow, an honor bestowed on highly successful entrepreneurship researchers. Dr. Gibbs will speak on entrepreneurship education.
John Mogulescu, Dean Emeritus of CUNY SPS, will speak on his sundry entrepreneurial engagements within CUNY, including Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP), Guttman Community College, and the School of Professional Studies.
Participants will have the chance to hear from and talk with several entrepreneurs representing various academic disciplines at CUNY SPS. Jorge Silva-Puras, CUNY SPS Interim Dean, and Dr. George Otte, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, will bring greetings.
