CUNY SPS CIED Presents: Four Strategies to Mitigate Implicit Bias

The Committee on Institutional Equity and Diversity (CIED) is pleased to offer a training on “Four Strategies to Mitigate Implicit Bias” on April 26th; 12:00 – 1:30 PM.

This 90-minute training will explore what implicit bias is, how it develops, its impact on society, and how to reduce the biases you may hold. Participants will unpack the brain science behind implicit bias, how it is learned, and the role it plays in our daily life.

This training will give us four specific strategies on how to mitigate implicit bias and build those as tangible actions towards transforming the culture in our classrooms and workplace, making them inclusive and respectful spaces. This training is interactive. Be prepared to engage in activities where participants will reflect on how implicit bias shows up in their thoughts and actions.

This training will be led by Danielle Cannon from Right To Be.

This event is open to all CUNY SPS faculty and staff. If you have any questions about this workshop, please contact us at equitydiversitycommittee@sps.cuny.edu
